Out Of The Ordinary Eating Places In Atlanta

Atlanta is one of the most populated cities of the Georgia state in the USA. It is a busy city and is also one of the leading tourist destinations of the country. As a result, it is a city well-known for its tourist spots, hotels and shopping places and of course, the restaurants of Atlanta. The top restaurants of Atlanta are common and known by most people, tourists as well as the people living in the city. However, there are a few other unique places to dine other than the regular places that most people know and these are as good as the other Atlanta restaurants.

"Two Urban Licks" located in the Virginia highlands have a spectacular view. One gets to hear live Blues music while dining out there. Lamb lollipops with goat cheese and chili jam, seafood gumbo, smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese and many such small plate items comprise the menu of this eating place.

"Café Intermezzo" at the perimeter mall area situated in Buckhead is a coffee house in the true classy European sense. The menu is not restricted to a wide range of beverages like tea, beer, liquors, wines and also dessert. The menu is light fare and tempting. Its specialties include the chicken mango and avocado wrap. It is located in two places, each with its own unique ambience, well suited for small gatherings or even a romantic outing.

"Ten Degrees South" offers South African cuisine. The ambience is cozy and perfectly romantic with a live music bar at the back of the restaurant. Menu items include steak, lamb, beef curry, and the common ones but specialties like sosaties, ostrich, peri peri chicken etc. can also be tried out.

If you are fond of the Moroccan cuisine or want to try out something new, the "Imperial Fez" would be one of the best suited Atlanta restaurants for it. The restaurant offers a five course dinner. The main dish includes lamb, beef, Cornish hen or fish and Harrira soup which is served with the Moroccan Bread. A variety of Moroccan salads and appetizers of Cornish game hen, roasted almonds, spicy eggs and cinnamon are offered and the dessert ends with pastry, fresh fruit cocktail and Moroccan Hot Mint Tea. The restaurant represents the finest Moroccan culture not only through its cuisine but other traditional events like the night of fire, cooking with chef Rafih, belly dancing classes etc. In all, it's a fun and unforgettable experience to be there.

"Tierra" is another unique restaurant located at Buckhead, which is an authentic Caribbean, Latin American bistro. The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife and was opened in the year 1999. The Caribbean flavored menu includes dishes like fish, beef, pork, shrimp, chicken and vegetarian dishes too. Its specialty is the dessert item Tierra dulce de leche ice cream, also known as cajeta crepes.

These few uncommon Atlanta restaurants comprise the out-of-the-ordinary eating places and visiting these places is as much fun as the other top restaurants of Atlanta.
